My Xbox 360 received its fourth red ring of death on December 2nd. I did what I did the other three times: I called up 1-800-4-MY-XBOX, I told them what had happened, they sent me a box to ship it back to them in, which I received within the next day. They told me it would take 3 to 6 weeks to get it back, and that if they had any problems repairing my Xbox, they would contact me and send me a brand new one. After 8 whole weeks of waiting, I started to get a little ticked off. I called them up, asked them where my Xbox was, and they put me on hold. Twenty minutes later, they told me that they, forgot to send me back my Xbox. It should have been at my house on December 19th, they said, and I could have actually enjoyed my Christmas if this would have been the case. I asked them for some sort of compensation for keeping my Xbox at Microsoft's evil warehouse for an entire extra month, and they refused to give me anything but a free month of Xbox Live, which doesnt quite make up for the almost 2 months they spent "repairing" my console. I was furious. I asked to speak to a manager. Nope. And the customer service rep had the balls to say to me "Have a nice day!", which I promptly responded, "Go fuck yourself."
Microsoft sucks.
